The self-defence training programme for college girls implemented by Odisha government is a flagship programme under state youth policy announced in the year 2013.
The aim & objective of the program is to spread scientific knowledge and for this it shall strive to –
– To impart self-defence training to maximum number of girl students at college level.
– To empower women.
– To make them able to defend against physical assault.
Composition:
Chairman: Principal
Convener: A senior members of the staff nominated by the principal (senior lady member of the Staff)
Members: Five members of the staff nominated by the principal. (lady members of the staff and P.E.T)
Activities:
This college sent 03 girl students to get self defense training at Utkal Karate School, Bhubaneswar who after successful completion of the training were qualified to be the Master Trainers.

The Principal was felicitated by the State Govt. as the Best Principal to implement the SDT programme during the session 2015-16 and the Programme Officer Dr. J. R. Pattanaik was awarded with State Level Best Programme Officer for SDT programme in 2016-17
